Interests Page

When I'm not at work or being a student, my primary activities include music performance, composing and recording, bicycling, and exploring Web technologies.

Web Technologies

What motivated me to study Web Application Development was my interest in emerging Web technologies. I'm interested in learning more about Flash, Silverlight, and the new audio video capabilities of HTML 5.

Music

Given an unlimited amount of time, there are about 20 to 30 musical instruments I would try to learn to play. Over the years, with limited amounts of time (living in the real world), I have learned to play the flute, saxophone, keyboards, various percussion instruments and the electric bass guitar. I once took a course in music recording and production and worked at a music recording studio in Seattle. For a period of time, I was persuing music composing for film and TV. I'm currently writing, recording and mixing my own songs and compositions and I have been a member of several local musical groups. [here is one of my songs written a few years ago].

Bicycling

My primary interest in bicycling started as a way to get physical exercise. Once I started, memories about how much I enjoy riding came to mind and therefore, this is an exercise I have been able to stick with. I have been a member of the Cascade Bicycle Club off and on and I usually watch Velodrome races and the Tour de France races.
